As Architects, we bring together the necessary design and engineering disciplines to act as an extension of and in concert with our clients. We help them in programming their needs, their wants, and their desires as they relate to the built environment and as they relate to their need for developing green initiatives. Once programming is conducted, we are prepared to affect the planning and design, including “green design,” as well as the administration of construction contracts during the construction phase if called for by the demands of the project.
The services for the planning, design, and construction of a project include the documentation of the site, any utilities, structural conditions, as well as analysis of the soils. After documentation has been completed, the evaluation of the site and other conditions takes place. This phase investigates these conditions in detail. Based on that investigation, a masterplan is done using the functional requirements of the client. Follow-up to that, we do preliminary site, landscape, and building design, along with the attendant engineering. If required by the client, we conduct an early phase cost analysis at this point. Evaluation of the work to date along with the client then gives the guidance for the final design and any remaining issues related to the construction of the project. The last phase is the detailed design and engineering along with the production of the documents and contracts utilized in the construction phase.
